Paint Protection Film (PPF) Waiver

About Paint Protection Film

Paint protection film, or PPF as we will refer to it for the remainder of this waiver, is an 8mm film designed to protect your vehicle's paint from chips, scratches, and swirl marks. It is applied to the exterior painted panels of your vehicle. It is warranted for 10 years from yellowing, cracking, staining, blistering, and delamination. The manufacturer’s warranty does not cover accidents, road debris, or owner damage during wash processes, etc.

Drying Time

Your new PPF will take 3-4 weeks to fully cure depending on weather conditions. DO NOT WASH YOUR VEHICLE FOR 5 DAYS!!!

Condition of Vehicle for PPF Installation

The vehicle can not have any paint protection coatings such as waxes, sealants, or ceramic coatings. These can affect the overall installation, performance, longevity, and appearance of the PPF. A thorough decon wash is required for these reasons. The client is aware that PPF is for OEM paint systems. The client waives and releases Tim’s Pro Auto Spa LLC from any warranty or damage claims where a film has been installed on non-OEM painted surfaces.

Paint

Paint may lift on repainted or OEM paint if improperly prepped and painted. By authorizing Tim’s Pro Auto Spa LLC to proceed with the installation, the client hereby acknowledges the risk and waives any claims against Tim’s Pro Auto Spa LLC and agrees that Tim’s Pro Auto Spa LLC will not be liable if any damages do occur during the installation process.

Paint Chips

PPF is installed to provide a sacrificial layer to help prevent future paint chips and damage from road debris. PPF over preexisting rock chips will look like contamination or air pockets after the installation, due to the uneven surface of the paint.

Installation

Most of our installs are with pre-cut kits. Pre-cut kits involve stopping short of an edge (typically about a 1/8th of an inch is the desired edge width), edges around badges/emblems, washers, and other parts. The customer understands that PPF is a sacrificial layer for your car, not a completely invisible or matte layer. The customer may choose to have a custom or bulk installation at an additional fee. These installs are more time-consuming.

Exposed Edges and Seams

We strive to wrap all edges, but some edges can not be wrapped. Debris build-up over time on exposed edges/seams will be more visible on white/lighter colored vehicles. Partial installs will have more noticeable debris due to a larger area of exposed edges. We always recommend doing a complete hood install to avoid partial install edge debris build-up. PPF ceramic coatings are also highly recommended to help reduce debris build-up along other edges and seams. THERE IS NO WARRANTY OR FILM REPLACEMENT FOR EDGES/SEAMS DEBRIS BUILD UP. Regular and proper maintenance washing will help greatly in reducing debris build-up

Headlights

When installing PPF, headlights become a liability due to the HID and exterior coating. Some headlights tend to peel their top coating during the installation of PPF. By authorizing Tim’s Pro Auto Spa LLC to proceed with headlight film installation, the customer acknowledges the risk and waives any claims against Tim’s Pro Auto Spa LLC and agrees that Tim’s Pro Auto Spa LLC will not be held liable.

Film, Badge, and Decal Removal

Film, badge, and decal removal may cause the paint, glass, and/or defroster to be damaged. By authorizing Tim’s Pro Auto Spa LLC to proceed with removal, the customer hereby acknowledges the risk, waives any claims against Tim’s Pro Auto Spa LLC, and agrees that Tim’s Pro Auto Spa LLC will not be liable if damage does occur during any removal processes.

Imperfections

Though we strive for perfection in all our installations, due to the nature of the product, some degree of dust, contamination, and/or minor imperfections are present in every PPF installation. Also, preexisting scratches, rock chips, and flaws may become more evident after the installation of PPF. Used/older vehicles will naturally have more imperfections due to their age and degrees of use.

Boats

Manufacturers do not offer warranties for any boat PPF, whether clear or cosmetic. Tim's Pro Auto Spa LLC will warranty in-house to cover up to $1000 value with any necessary redos at 50% off. Boat PPF is not warranted due to the common owner error and excessive speed, saltwater, bumping docks, bumping trailers, etc. Once the $1,000 value has been reached, any other portions will need to be paid in full prior to any corrections. Boat paint can be poorly installed, and therefore, Tim's Pro Auto Spa LLC can not be held liable for paint chipping or lifting during the PPF/vinyl installation process.

Motorcycles

Motorcycles, especially Harley-Davidsons, are infamous for having thin paint and improper paint techniques utilized. Due to this, motorcycles may have clear coat failure during the installation of any PPF or vinyl. Tim's Pro Auto Spa LLC can not be held liable for any paint lifting or chipping

Tint Waiver

Car Window Tint Waiver

Small amounts of contamination may be found in your tint, especially in older or dirtier vehicles. After a tint installation, the windows can not be rolled down for 72 hours. If they are rolled down prematurely, Tim’s Pro Auto Spa LLC can not be held liable for damages, and redos will be charged at full price. Florida law requires tint to be no darker than 28% on side front windows and 15% on back windows. Any tint requested darker than 20% on back windows and darker than 35% on the front side windows is requested at the owner's discretion, and they accept full responsibility for any legal consequences. Front windshields can legally only receive visor tint. If the owner requests full windshield tint, they are accepting all possible legal ramifications. Tesla sunroofs are not recommended to be tinted. The owner accepts any and all risks associated with Tesla sunroof damages and understands Tesla will not honor their warranty upon damages if tinted

Residential & Commercial Window Tint Waiver

This Window Tint Waiver is an acknowledgment and acceptance of the terms and conditions for the installation of window tint film on residential or commercial properties in Florida.

1. Quality & Installation Conditions:
By signing this waiver, you acknowledge that small amounts of dust, debris, or bubbles may be visible under the tint due to pre-existing environmental conditions of the glass, age of windows, or surrounding construction. These are considered normal and do not constitute a defect.

2. Cure Time & Care:
You agree that newly installed film requires up to 30 days to fully cure. Minor haziness or moisture between the glass and the film may appear during this period. Cleaning of the interior windows shall not be performed until at least 30 days after installation using ammonia-free, soft cloths only.

3. Glass Breakage & Seal Failure:
Florida climate and direct sun exposure may cause thermal stress on glass when window film is applied. By signing this waiver, you accept that thermal stress fractures or seal failure are risks inherent to any window tinting process. Tim’s Pro Auto Spa LLC cannot be held liable for any existing glass defects, breakage, seal failure, or other damage that may occur due to thermal stress, especially on tempered, double-pane, Low-E, or older glass.

4. Compliance with Building Codes & HOA Rules:
You, the property owner or authorized representative, acknowledge that you have checked and complied with all local building codes, HOA covenants, or community restrictions regarding visible light transmission (VLT), reflectivity, or color of the tint installed. Tim’s Pro Auto Spa LLC is not responsible for obtaining permits or HOA approvals, nor for removal or replacement due to non-compliance with any applicable regulations.

5. Existing Window Warranty:
By signing this waiver, you understand that applying window tint may void existing manufacturer warranties on glass or window units. You agree that you have contacted your window manufacturer or supplier if you wish to verify warranty status.

6. Removal & Replacement:
Should you require removal or replacement of the film at any time, standard labor rates will apply.
